Hi all, I installed the hoxterraner map, which is great, it has about 4 different farms to use and I decided I wanted to use the farm with the livestock, so I've moved all my equipment there and set up base, but every time I re-load the game it puts me back at the initial starting place, miles from my new farm. This isn't really a problem as i can just hit the TAB and I'm in one of my vehicles at my new farm, but it is slightly annoying, when I install an LSMI mod it gets placed where I was origionally so I have to go get it. Just wondered if the initial start place on a map can be changed? Thanks in advance Dave

Im gonna make a vid about this, so hang on...
(but if you dont wanna wait:)
1.put the things as you want them(ingame)
2.open the control-panel->Folder-options(or something) and then search for ''Show hidden folders''
3.open Users and then your account, and then ''AppData'' and then ''Farmer simulator 2008''(for example: C:\Users\Glenn Westerlund\AppData\Roaming\FarmingSimulator2008)
4.open ''savegame1'' (or 2,3,4,5 whatever''
5. open veichles.xml and copy from <CareerVeichles> to </CareerVeichles> and then paste it in (the same way) in CareerVeichles.xml

Hi Tottbott, thanks for that but I already have the vehicles positioned where I want them. What I mean is when you load the game and click the "play" or "start" button I always start in exactly the same place, in the middle of a field (in this map), miles from where my vehicles and farm, and I would like to be able to click "play" and start the game where my farm and vehicles are, if you get what I mean. Regards Dave

Hi Paddy, what I did was drove a tractor to where I wanted it, saved game, went into c:/my documents and settings/"user"/appdata/farming sim2008/savegame1/vehicles.xml, opened it with wordpad, looked for that tractor entry, i.e. JD 6820, highlighted and copied the xposition entry (just up to the first digit), went to edit/replace ( ctrl+H ) and pasted the entry into the bottom line, copied and pasted the xposition entry of one of the other vehicles/tools, and entered that into the top line and clicked replace. Then I did the same with the z position entries. When you go back ito the game all your gear should be where you want it, for me it was the farm in the bottom corner with the cattle, sheep and horses. ( x= -7 z= -7 ) You still start the game in the same field tho unfortunately, but you just press TAB and you're there with all your stuff. You can do this with the careervehicles.xml but you'd have to start a new game.
Here's what I did using the edit/replace window:
( Only highlight up to the first digit!! )
xPosition="1 changed it to xPosition="-7
zPosition="1 changed it to zPosition="-7 Saved it.
If some of your vehicle x and z positions are different to 1, just do the same with them, i.e
xPosition="2 to xPosition "-7 Your gear may be a bit cramped together doing this but then you just tidy up in game, save it, and it's all sorted.
Don't forget to backup your savegame file incase of hiccups!!
